Western Force

If you're a fan of rugby union, then you've probably heard of the Western Force. They're a professional rugby team based in Perth, Western Australia, and although they are not competing in Super Rugby at present, they have a strong history in the competition.

The Force were founded in 2005 and joined Super Rugby in 2006. They quickly became one of the most successful teams in the competition, reaching the semi-finals in their first three seasons. However, they failed to make the playoffs in the last 5 seasons of Super Rugby. This, along with financial issues, led to the ARU axing the team from the competition at the end of the 2017 season.

Despite their axing from Super Rugby, the Western Force continue to compete in the National Rugby Championship (NRC). They have won the NRC twice, in 2015 and 2017. In 2020, they narrowly missed out on a third NRC title, losing to the Canberra Vikings in the final.

The Force have a strong fan base in Perth and Western Australia. They are known for their attacking style of play and their passionate fans. The team has a number of talented players, including Wallabies Representatives Dane Haylett-Petty, Tevita Kuridrani and Ian Prior.

The future of the Western Force is uncertain. They are currently not competing in Super Rugby, but they have expressed a desire to return to the competition in the future. In the meantime, they will continue to compete in the NRC and build their fan base in Western Australia.

Whether or not the Western Force return to Super Rugby, they will always be remembered as one of the most successful teams in the competition's history. They have a strong fan base and a talented squad, and they will be a force to be reckoned with in the NRC for many years to come.
