History

In 1991, co-founders Leticia Serrano and Gloria Mena set out to create a new company that would revolutionize footwear for medical professional. They understood that traditional medical footwear was stiff, heavy, ugly and hard on the feet. So they assembled a group of top footwear engineers and designers, and set out to create the world's most technically-innovative performance footwear for medical professionals.

Today, Vital Feet is America's number one medical footwear brand. Here are some of the milestones from our journey:

1991-2000:

Revolutionized the medical footwear category by bringing athletic shoe technology to medical footwear
Developed prototypes of medical footwear enhanced with performance features and tested them with medical professionals across the country
Launched the brand with the first two medical shoes for medical professionals with advanced technology: the Vital Performer and the Vital Optima
Introduced our next-generation Advanced Torque Stability (ATS) Technology, and established the brand as a performance and comfort leader in medical footwear
