It was a dark and stormy night. The thunder roared and the lightning flashed, and the rain poured in torrents. Inside her cozy little cottage, Timberlynn Rangil snuggled up in her bed, trying to read a book. But the wind howled so loudly that she couldn't concentrate. She tossed and turned, but sleep wouldn't come.
Suddenly, she heard a strange sound outside. It was a soft, gentle whinny. Timberlynn got out of bed and crept to the window. She peered out into the darkness, but she couldn't see anything.
Just when she was about to give up, she saw a faint glow in the distance. She squinted her eyes and gasped in amazement. It was a unicorn! The unicorn was the most beautiful creature Timberlynn had ever seen. It had a long, flowing mane and tail, and its coat was white as snow.
The unicorn walked slowly towards the cottage, its horn glowing softly. Timberlynn couldn't believe her eyes. She opened the window and called out to the unicorn.
"Hello!" she said. "What are you doing out in the storm?"
The unicorn stopped and turned its head towards her. It spoke in a soft, musical voice.
"I am lost," the unicorn said. "I am trying to find my way home, but I can't see in the darkness."
Timberlynn felt sorry for the unicorn. She invited it into the cottage, and the unicorn gratefully accepted.
Timberlynn made the unicorn a warm bed in front of the fire, and she gave it some hay and water. The unicorn ate and drank, and then it lay down to rest.
Timberlynn sat down next to the unicorn and stroked its mane. She told it stories about her life, and the unicorn listened patiently. Timberlynn had never felt so comfortable with an animal before.
As the storm raged outside, Timberlynn and the unicorn talked and laughed and shared stories. They became the best of friends.
When the storm finally passed, the unicorn stood up and stretched its legs. It was time to go home.
Timberlynn walked the unicorn to the edge of the forest, and they said their goodbyes. Timberlynn watched as the unicorn galloped away into the darkness, its horn glowing softly in the moonlight.
Timberlynn never forgot her night with the unicorn. It was the most magical night of her life.
