Sentinelese Tribe

The Sentinelese tribe is an indigenous group of people who live on North Sentinel Island in the Bay of Bengal, India. They are considered one of the last uncontacted tribes in the world and have actively resisted contact with the outside world for thousands of years. The Indian government has placed restrictions on visiting the island to protect the tribe's isolation and safety. They are hunter-gatherers and practice a way of life that has remained unchanged for millennia. Not much is known about their language, culture, or traditions. The tribe is considered a Scheduled Tribe under the Indian government's legislation, which gives them certain legal protections and rights.
