Sarkis Urraca, the Man Who Out-Talked His Own Parrot

In a quaint little cottage nestled amidst a vibrant garden, resided an extraordinary individual named Sarkis Urraca. Sarkis was known throughout the town for his peculiar obsession with talking to his parrot, Polly. It was an unusual friendship to say the least, with Sarkis's incessant chatter often leaving Polly dazed and bewildered.

Every morning, Sarkis would greet Polly with an enthusiastic, "Good morning, my feathered friend! Did you sleep well?" Polly, on the other hand, would simply cock her head and stare blankly at Sarkis, as if she had no idea what he was saying. But that didn't deter Sarkis one bit.

As the day wore on, Sarkis would engage Polly in endless conversations about the weather, the news, and even the latest gossip from the town. He would talk about everything under the sun, from his favorite football team to the new bakery that had opened down the street.

Now, Polly was a parrot with a limited vocabulary. Her repertoire consisted mainly of squawks, whistles, and the occasional "Hello, Sarkis!" To Sarkis's dismay, Polly never seemed to grasp the complexity of his monologues.

Undeterred, Sarkis continued his relentless chatter, determined to out-talk his feathered companion. He employed various tactics, from using hand gestures to raising his voice to even reciting poetry. But Polly remained unfazed, her expressions unchanged and her squawks as unpredictable as ever.

One day, as Sarkis was delivering a particularly passionate speech about the importance of recycling, Polly finally snapped. She let out a loud "Squawk!" and flew to the other side of the cage.

"What's the matter, Polly? Don't you agree?" Sarkis asked, taken aback.

Polly squawked again and gave Sarkis a pointed look.

"Oh, I see," Sarkis said, realizing his mistake. "You're tired of my talking. Well, I apologize, Polly. I'll try to tone it down a bit."

And so, Sarkis Urraca, the man who out-talked his own parrot, finally learned the value of silence. From that day forward, he would still talk to Polly, but he would do so in a more measured and respectful way. And as for Polly, she seemed to appreciate Sarkis's newfound restraint, as she would often reward him with an affectionate "Hello, Sarkis!"

As the years passed, Sarkis and Polly became inseparable. Despite their different ways of communicating, they shared a deep bond of companionship. And though Polly never quite mastered the art of human conversation, Sarkis always knew that she understood his heart.
