The 28th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards took place last night, honoring the best performances in film and television from the past year. With a star-studded cast of nominees and a few unexpected surprises, the show was one for the books.

The Winners

The biggest winners of the night were undoubtedly Everything Everywhere All at Once, taking home four awards including Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Michelle Yeoh. The White Lotus also had a successful night, winning three awards for its ensemble cast and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for Murray Bartlett.

The Snubs

Despite being nominated in several categories, films like The Fabelmans and Tár came up empty-handed. Many were also surprised to see Viola Davis lose out on the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture award to Michelle Yeoh.

The Surprises

In a surprising upset, Austin Butler took home the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role award for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in Elvis. The young actor beat out heavyweights like Brendan Fraser and Colin Farrell.

Another unexpected win went to Zendaya, who won the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series - Drama award for her role in Euphoria. This was Zendaya's first SAG Award win, and it solidified her status as one of Hollywood's rising stars.
