RADIO KERRY
I'm sure you've heard of Radio Kerry, but do you know the story behind it? It's a tale of passion, determination, and community spirit.
In the early 1980s, a group of local enthusiasts had a dream: to create a radio station that would reflect the unique character of County Kerry. They faced many challenges, but they were undeterred. They knocked on doors, held fundraising events, and lobbied politicians.
Finally, in 1989, Radio Kerry went on air. It was a small operation at first, but it quickly grew in popularity. People loved hearing the local news, music, and talk shows. Radio Kerry became a vital part of the community, providing a platform for local voices and connecting people across the county.
Over the years, Radio Kerry has expanded its reach and now broadcasts to all of Munster. It has also won numerous awards for its programming. But one thing has never changed: its commitment to the community.
Radio Kerry is more than just a radio station. It's a place where people can come together, share their stories, and feel connected. It's a place where the spirit of Kerry shines through.
I've had the privilege of working at Radio Kerry for over 20 years, and I've seen firsthand the impact it has on people's lives. I've seen it help people through difficult times, bring people together, and make a difference in the community.
I'm proud to be a part of the Radio Kerry team, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share our story with you.
