Not Like Us Kendrick

They say, "Not like us Kendrick." When we hear these words, it often has a negative connotation. We see someone different from us, and we immediately assume that they are not like us. We may see someone black, someone rich, someone gay, or someone with a disability, and our immediate reaction is to assume that they are not like us.
I understand this. After all, we are all different in our way. We have different experiences, different perspectives, and different values. But I would encourage you to challenge this assumption the next time you hear yourself saying, "Not like us Kendrick."
The truth is, we are all more alike than we are different. We all want to be loved, we all want to be accepted, and we all want to be happy. We all have dreams, we all have fears, and we all have the potential to make a difference in the world.
I have seen this firsthand in my own life. I have met people from all walks of life, and I have learned that we are all more alike than we are different. I have met people who are different from me in every way imaginable, and yet I have found that we have more in common than we do different.
I have learned that we can all learn from each other, and we can all grow from our differences. I have learned that we are all connected, and we are all part of something bigger than ourselves.
So, the next time you find yourself saying, "Not like us Kendrick," I encourage you to challenge this assumption. Ask yourself what you really mean by this, and ask yourself if this is really true. I think you will be surprised at what you find.
I think you will find that we are all more alike than we are different, and that we can all learn from each other. I think you will find that we are all connected, and that we are all part of something bigger than ourselves.
I also think you will find that the more you get to know someone, the more you will realize that they are not so different from you after all.
So, next time you hear yourself saying, "Not like us Kendrick," think twice. And if you can, open your heart to someone who is different from you.
I guarantee you that you will be glad you did.
