NCAA Basketball: A Love-Hate Relationship

*

College basketball is a passion of mine. I've been watching it since I was a kid and have played it since I was old enough to dribble. I love the excitement of the game, the skill of the players, and the camaraderie of the fans. But I also have a bit of a love-hate relationship with it.

On the one hand, I love the game. It's fast-paced and exciting, with plenty of athleticism and skill on display. I love seeing players make amazing plays, and I get caught up in the excitement of the crowd. I also love the atmosphere of college basketball games. The fans are passionate and knowledgeable, and they create a great environment for watching the game. The NCAA tournament is one of the most exciting sporting events in the world and it is a blast to watch. So when my team is winning, NCAA basketball is great.

But on the other hand, I hate the politics of college basketball. I hate that the NCAA makes so much money off of the players, but the players themselves don't get paid. I hate that the NCAA has such strict rules about what players can and can't do. I hate that the NCAA tournament is so rigged in favor of the big schools. And I hate that the NCAA is so slow to change. Too often there is a player who has a hardship or other problems that would be solved by the NCAA making a small change to a rule or procedure, but they choose money over the good of the players.

And then there are the scandals.

College basketball has been plagued by scandals for years. Point shaving, gambling, and other forms of corruption have all been a part of the game. These scandals have damaged the reputation of college basketball and made it difficult to trust the NCAA. And all to often the players are scapegoats for the problems caused by coaches and administrators.

So, yeah, I have a love-hate relationship with NCAA basketball. I love the game, but I hate the politics. I love the excitement, but I hate the scandals. I love the fans, but I hate the NCAA. But at the end of the day, I still love college basketball. I still watch it every chance I get. And I still dream of one day seeing my team win the national championship.
.

Of course, none of that will happen until the NCAA changes its ways.

What do you think? Do you love or hate NCAA basketball?
