Munster Hurling Championship

The Munster Hurling Championship is an annual inter-county hurling competition played by the six counties of Munster in Ireland. The competition is organized by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). The championship has been played since 1887, with Cork being the most successful team with 54 titles. The current champions are Limerick, who won their third title in a row in 2023.
The championship is played on a knockout basis, with the six teams drawn into two groups of three. The top two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals, with the winners of the semi-finals meeting in the final. The final is played at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork City.
The Munster Hurling Championship is one of the most prestigious hurling competitions in Ireland. It is a fiercely contested competition, with all six teams capable of winning the title. The championship is also a major source of revenue for the GAA, with the final regularly attracting crowds of over 50,000 people.
Hurling is a unique and exciting sport that is played with a sliotar (a small ball) and a hurley (a wooden stick). The game is fast-paced and physical, and it requires a high level of skill and athleticism. Hurling is one of the most popular sports in Ireland, and it is also played in many other countries around the world.
