Identify and describe corporations’ duties toward their consumers and consumers’ related rights.



Students should address the following four duties: (1) the duty to inform, (2) the duty not to misrepresent or withhold information, (3) the duty not to force or take undue advantage, and (4) the duty to take “due care” to prevent any foreseeable injuries. Related rights of consumers include: (1) the right to safety, (2) the right to free and rational choice, (3) the right to know, (4) the right to be heard, and (5) the right to be compensated.
