Marcelo Montoya: The Fijian Flyer Returns to the Bulldogs

Marcelo Montoya, the Fijian winger who made a name for himself in the NRL with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, has returned to the club after a brief stint with the New Zealand Warriors.
Montoya, 28, played 54 games for the Bulldogs between 2017 and 2020, scoring 19 tries. He left the club to join the Warriors in 2021, but has now returned to Belmore on a deal until the end of the 2025 season.
Montoya is a powerful and elusive runner with a knack for finding the try line. He is also a strong defender and a good team player.
The Bulldogs are hoping that Montoya can help them improve on their disappointing 2022 season, in which they finished 12th. The club has made a number of other signings in the off-season, including former England international Luke Thompson.
Montoya is excited to be back at the Bulldogs and is looking forward to contributing to the club's success.
"I'm really happy to be back at the Bulldogs," Montoya said. "This is where I started my NRL career and I'm looking forward to helping the club achieve success.
"I think we have a good squad and I'm confident that we can make a big impact in the competition next year."
The Bulldogs will be hoping that Montoya can help them reach their full potential in 2023. The club has a rich history and a passionate fan base, and they will be hoping to challenge for the premiership next season.
