At first, I wasn't sure what to expect. He was a rather tall man with a slightly scruffy beard and a mischievous glint in his eyes. When he took to the stage, I thought to myself, "This guy looks like he could be a stand-up comedian." Little did I know how right I was!
Kiwidinok's jokes were like a rollercoaster ride. They had me laughing so hard one minute that my sides hurt, and then they would hit me with a gut punch of emotion the next. He talked about everything from his childhood to his love life to his struggles with mental health.
But through it all, he never lost his sense of humor.
One of my favorite jokes of his was about the time he went on a blind date. He said, "I was so nervous, I thought I was going to throw up. But then I realized that if I did, she'd probably think it was a mating ritual."
The audience erupted in laughter, and I couldn't help but smile.
But Kiwidinok's comedy was more than just jokes. It was about connecting with people on a deep level.
He wasn't afraid to share his own vulnerabilities, and in doing so, he made everyone else feel like they weren't alone.
After the show, I had a chance to talk to Kiwidinok for a few minutes. I told him how much I enjoyed his set, and he thanked me with a genuine smile.
"I'm just glad I can make people laugh,"
he said. "It's the best feeling in the world."
I believe him. Kiwidinok Sternagel is a true original, and I'm so grateful that I had the chance to meet him. If you ever have the opportunity to see him perform, don't miss it. You won't be disappointed.
P.S. Here are a few more of Kiwidinok's jokes to make you smile:
