Two-Piece vs. Three Piece Dresses; Which One Is The Best To Buy?

The last decade has been very important for the Pakistan fashion industry. Before the turn of the millennium, the fashion industry was very monotonous; the start of the second millennium gave equal rise to the fashion world like it gave rise to everything else. The trends changed completely and new fashion houses slowly came to the surface.

This was the time when the women of Pakistan and the few famous designers stopped getting dependent on the neighboring country’s designers and fashion trends. This was the time when we redeemed ourselves in front of the whole world and made our presence known.

In the last decade, more than 50 designers and fashion houses emerged who became the trendsetters for the fashion industry. All the drug store clothing brands and budding designers follow these famous fashion labels. The dresses of these designers’ labels no doubt are expensive, but they are worth it, in terms of fabric quality, designs, and printing techniques.

Summers are becoming exceedingly hot in Pakistan and the women belonging to every class need to wear light and airy clothes to keep their bodies cool. The people belonging to the middle class could not afford to wear the designer labels and this was becoming problematic for both the fashion houses and the consumers as their target market and the number of customers were decreasing.

To remedy this problem, last year some of the designer labels and fashion houses introduced two-piece dresses which consisted of either a shirt and trouser or a shirt and dupatta. The price range of these dresses was kept lesser than the premium three pieces dresses.

Due to the rise in inflation of Pakistan, in 2023, most of the high-end brands and fashion houses launched their two piece collections of Pakistani dresses online. Gul Ahmed, Alkaram, Khaadi, Orient, Junaid Jamshed, Nishat, Sapphire, and thredz are some of the brands who launched their two piece collections along with their premium three piece collection.

The two piece collection consist of both embroidered and plainly printed dresses. The plainly printed ones are a bit less costly than their embroidered counter-parts.

If you are looking to revamp your wardrobe within a budget, then all you have to do is buy two piece dresses.

The shirt and dupatta can be worn with jeans or and old trouser which matches with the dress; similarly, a shirt and trouser two piece dress can be paired up with a plain colored dupatta easily. Dress with the designer dresses within your budget and keep your style cool and airy this summer.
