Donna, I Was There for You

Donna Nelson, I remember you like it was yesterday. We were just two little girls, playing in the dirt and pretending to be princesses. We were inseparable, and I thought we would be friends forever.

But then we grew up, and things changed. You went your way, and I went mine. I got married, had children, and built a life for myself. You, on the other hand, struggled. You made some bad choices, and you ended up in prison.

I was shocked and heartbroken when I heard the news. I couldn't believe that my best friend was behind bars. I visited you as often as I could, and I tried to be there for you. I listened to you talk about your regrets and your hopes for the future. I stood by you, even when it was hard.

One day, you told me that you had found God. You said that you had made a mistake, and that you were determined to turn your life around. I was so happy for you. I knew that you could do it.

You got out of prison a few months later, and I was there to meet you. You looked different, but you were the same Donna I had always known. You were kind, compassionate, and full of hope.

You started going to church, and you found a job. You were slowly rebuilding your life, and I was so proud of you.

But then, you disappeared. I tried to find you, but I couldn't. I was worried about you. I didn't know what had happened to you.

A few years later, I got a call from the police. They told me that you had been killed in a car accident. I was devastated. I couldn't believe that you were gone.

I went to your funeral, and I saw your family and friends. They were all so heartbroken. I realized then that you had touched so many lives. You had made mistakes, but you had also made a difference in the world.

Donna, I miss you every day. I miss your laughter, your smile, and your friendship. But I know that you are in a better place now. You are with God, and you are finally at peace.
