Colin Greenwood

Okay, so, Colin Greenwood. Radiohead's bassist. One of the most underrated bassists ever, if you ask me. I mean, just listen to Bodysnatchers. Or Idioteque. Or, hell, any song from OK Computer. The guy's playing is just so inventive, so melodic, so...

...Okay, I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's start at the beginning.

Colin Greenwood was born in Oxford, England, in 1969. He's the older brother of Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke. Colin started playing bass in his early teens, and by the time he was in college, he was already playing in a band with Yorke and Jonny Greenwood (no relation).

In 1991, Colin and his bandmates formed Radiohead. They released their debut album, Pablo Honey, in 1993, and their second album, The Bends, in 1995. The Bends was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to establish Radiohead as one of the most important bands of the 1990s.

Radiohead has released eight studio albums since then, and they've won numerous awards, including six Grammy Awards and a Brit Award.

Colin Greenwood is a quiet and humble guy, but he's also a brilliant musician. He's one of the most underrated bassists ever, and he's a vital part of Radiohead's sound.

So, if you're not already familiar with Colin Greenwood, I urge you to check him out. You won't be disappointed.

Here are a few of my favorite Colin Greenwood basslines:
